The South African Cannabis Clubs Alliance (SACCA) is not a company. It’s not owned. It’s not for profit.
SACCA is a community-driven, open-source initiative created by and for Cannabis Clubs across South Africa. We exist to amplify the collective voice of the Cannabis Club community and to advocate for a clear, fair, and inclusive regulatory future.
Why SACCA Exists
In South Africa, thousands of Cannabis Clubs operate in good faith — guided by constitutional rights to privacy and association — yet without formal recognition under current law. SACCA was born out of a simple but powerful need:

✅ To co-create a responsible framework for Cannabis Clubs that works for everyone.
Who Runs SACCA?
You do. We all do.
SACCA is a living platform run by the collective input of the Cannabis Club community, including club operators, cultivators, service providers, legal advisors, healers, and responsible cannabis consumers.
There is no central owner. No gatekeepers. All content, tools, and templates are made available freely and collaboratively for the benefit of the entire ecosystem.

Denerick Plaatjies is a South African cannabis cultivator and Head Cultivator at The CannaClub, where he oversees plant production and cultivation standards across multiple grow environments. He is also a board member and representative of the Southern Cape House of Rastafari, contributing to community leadership, cultural preservation, and advocacy within the Rastafari movement.

Snoux Poswa is a cannabis strategist and development practitioner, a founding member of the Mpondoland Cannabis Belt Association(MCBA), and its first Secretary General. Snoux Poswa is the secretary of the Nyandeni Kingdom Cooperative Chaired by King Ndamase II; the Coronated King of the Western Pondoland Kingdom, bridging traditional leadership in the Eastern Cape with the emerging industry, its social economic environment, and a reliable network of partners in the transformation of the regulatory frameworks. As the manging director of the OR Tambo Cooperative Development Centre and director of the Rural Township Cannabis Incubator, RTCI he advocates for cooperative development, collective ownership, and the inclusion of Pondoland growers, their agro-processors and merchants to well regulated, accountable, responsible and people focused national and international cannabis economy.

Zainodean “Humcumqua” Simmers is a community leader, traditional healer, and cannabis advocate, and a senior leader within the Khoi San community. He plays a key role in advancing indigenous rights and grassroots empowerment, working to transition subsistence farmers into the legal cannabis economy while preserving cultural identity and promoting inclusive, community-based models.

Kobus Schoeman is a South African entrepreneur and cannabis industry leader, and the founder of Grow One Africa (GOA). He is the developer of AfriMeter, a compliance and traceability system supporting the Cannabis Social Club model. Since 2019, his work has focused on building legally grounded, community-driven frameworks for private cultivation, emphasizing transparency, self-regulation, and grassroots economic participation.

Yolandi Montgomery is a cannabis industry strategist and ecosystem builder specializing in compliant, community-driven club models. A key force behind Joint Venture Collective and Project Indlela, she develops operational frameworks and digital systems that integrate cultivation, compliance, and distribution—helping formalize and scale South Africa’s cannabis sector.

He is the founder of the South African Cannabis Club Alliance (SACCA) and contributes to governance frameworks and policy engagement through Project Indlela, documenting the industry’s evolution through over 200 video pieces.
